FAQ’s
Q: What is Paintless Dent Removal?A: Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) is a process which removes door dings, dents, creases, and hail damage without painting or other conventional body shop methods.
Q: Is PDR something new?
A: No, auto makers & dealerships have been using this service for many years.
Q: Will this process damage the paint?
A: No, not if done properly by an experienced technician.
Q: Do you use dry ice, chemicals, microwave, suction devices, or other infomercial gimmicks?
A: No. These methods and devices can cause further damage to your vehicle. As a matter of fact, we typically have to charge more after someone has attempted his own dent repair as it creates more of a problem and requires more time to repair.
Q: What type of damage can you repair?
A: About 95% of all varieties of door dings, dents, creases, and hail damage where the paint is not damaged and the metal is not severely stretched. Larger basketball size dents can often be removed successfully.
Q: Why would I choose Paintless Dent Removal instead of a regular body shop?
A: Time and cost. Our process is usually a fraction of body shop prices. It retains the original factory paint which preserves the original resale value. Body shops often require keeping the car for several days. All of our repairs (except extreme hail damage) are same day service.
Q: How do I know if I have a dent that can be fixed by this method?
A: Come by the shop for a free inspection. Estimates are free too.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: On average, about 25-35% of body shop estimates. However, most door dings can be removed for $75 to $150.
Q: How long will it take?
A: Most scheduled jobs are usually 30 minutes or less.
Q: Are mobile services and in-shop services the same?
A: Absolutely not! There are some decent mobile technicians, however, controlled shop environments eliminate problems with lighting and other issues. A clean well lit shop with a wide variety of tools is a great advantage and will always produce a more refined result.
Q: Are all PDR technicians the same?
A: Not at all. PDR is a skill that requires years of practice and patience. Generally anyone with less than 2 years experience is considered an apprentice. It is not an easy trade to learn and mistakes can be quite costly. Look for a reputable company that is licensed and insured.
